Laurel and bamboo

In Romarzollo there is a tradition that says goodbye to carnival and hello...

...to the promise of new life that will bring the earth back in bloom. There is a long carnival procession with pyramid shaped coverings made from cane and bamboo, full of decorations that wind through the streets of the town preceded by children that hold solagni, laurel branches adorned with strips of confetti and coloured eggshells, a symbol of fertility. While the participants in the procession enjoy "grostoi and vin brulé", the parade arrives at the dosso della Tiera, where the cane and bamboo is burned in a spectacular bonfire.

30th Journalistic prize “Beppe Viola”

The football competition, one of the most important in its category, proposes 16 teams...

...divided in 4 rounds that meet head to head on Thursday 1, Friday 2 and Saturday 3 March in the elimination rounds, that turn out 4 contestants that will enliven the semifinals on Sunday 4 March. The final, will be on the scene in the stadium of via Pomerio on the afternoon of Tuesday 6 and will be transmitted live (as well as the inaugural match), on Rai Sport TV. The 30th edition will kick off the journalistic prize dedicated to the memory of the Rai journalist Beppe Viola. Again the jury will have the difficult job of finding two journalists , one for print, and one for TV that will win a place in the order of major-league journalists.

 

36° Giro del Trentino

Again Trentino will occupy the international scene with the 36th edition...

...of the “Il Giro del Trentino”. There are 4 stages of which a spectacular individual timing of 12.5 km will accompany cyclists along the Garda Trentino road with a starting line at Riva  del Garda and finish at Torbole sul Garda. The intermediate point is fixed at the passage from Arco.

 

Sympatex Bike Festival Garda Trentino

The Mountain bike season will be inaugurated with this fantastic event that expects...

...to attract over 15,.000 visitors to Riva del Garda. The festival, with 120 stands from the cycling sector, is one of the most important European expositions and will take place in the area in front of the Palazzo dei Congressi, very near the centre of town. Enthusiasts can learn about and test the newest innovations of the season. On Mt. Brione there will be a test course. The three days will be accompanied by music and many collateral activities.

...now in its 27th edition, presented by expert instructors, with workshops, exchange of reviews and advice. At the same time as the show there is a market outside the Municipal Casino of Arco where you can admire and buy bonsai plants and equipment.

Fairy-tale nights "Around the World in 80 Days"

A not-to-be-missed appointment that concludes the summer season each year...

...on the Trentino Garda  area, with Riva del Garda coming alive with music, dance, theatre and a fantastic fireworks display that is loved by all. This year’s theme is “around the world in 80 days” where young and old will re-live the adventure of Phileas Fogg and his valet Passepartout in the circumnavigation of the world in just 80 days to win a wager made with his companions.
